Medicine reminder for elderly parents on WhatsApp
Most elderly parents don't forget their medicines because they don't care. They forget because the day gets busy, the tablet is in another room, or two medicines look the same. A phone call every evening works for a week, then it starts to feel like nagging.
OkayFolk sends the reminder for you, on WhatsApp, at the time their doctor set. It names the medicine and the dose, so there's no confusion. They tap "Taken" in the chat, and that's it. You see it on your dashboard, and you only get a message if nobody replies.
How it works
Add the medicine
Name, dose and times, for example Metformin 500 mg at 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Reminders follow their local time, even if you live in another country.
They get a WhatsApp message
"Hi Dad, it's time for Metformin 500 mg, after breakfast." Two buttons: Taken or Skip. No app to install.
No reply? We follow up
A gentle nudge first. If there's still no reply, you get an alert, then your backup contacts. You choose how fast.
